I am still rocking with my 2015 base model shield tv and am surprised it has lasted this long making it the longest-lasting Andriod device I have owned. With that being said I am noticing some issues arise that I am not sure if it is because of its age or just something else going on but sometimes I will have to hard restart the box by unplugging and plugging it back in. I have also noticed some issues with wifi on the device going out sometimes so I am curious if this would be a sign to retire it. **Edit: Wow good to see so many OG's out there I will give mine a good cleaning as I probably haven't done so since I got it. Also might give a reset a try thanks for the input.

I remember watching this tv show on Hulu when it was free (with ads.) between 2010 and 2015 was when I watched it, but I could have been filmed earlier. It was about a reporter or detective ( I can’t remember his exact position) and he is very superstitious. I remember it showing the main character not stepping on any numbers or lines, specifically the number 13 because of his superstition. In the beginning of the show the main character gets an assistant or something. The “sidekick” character is the one who’s perspective the show is told through (I think). The main character starts to uncover a conspiracy. I can’t remember the nature of the secrets/conspiracy because I didn’t finish the show—I believe it had to do with espionage or the government—the conspiracy is the central plot of the show. There is a scene in the first couple episodes that I remember. It’s an elevated shot from a window in an apartment or office building at dusk or night looking over a parking lot. The main character (the superstitious one) is walks across the parking lot and notices that he almost steps on the number 13 (maybe 7 or another number) and ends up not stepping on it, almost making himself trip(?). I’m pretty sure the show takes place on the east coast. This isn’t much to go on but thanks in advance for your help!

Since Wednesday evening any attempt at controlling my Shield TV 2015 via HDMI-CEC fails when turning on from standby. I can restore by unplugging everything and switch off at the wall, but once I go to bed the next morning everything is unresponsive again. Remote used is the LG Magic remote C1.
Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to remember the name of a TV series that I watched years ago. I recall the plot having something to do with a ring (I think it was powerful) and it was being abused so birds would drop dead out of the sky and no one realised why to begin with. I remember one scene where the two main male protagonists where inside the stand of a baseball stadium on two opposing sides. I can’t really remember much else but I think would really like to watch it again for sentimental value!

It was one of two parallel conversations that this woman was having with the other person. My memory tells me these 2 conversations were sort of interlaced together. The first of these 2 conversations is about the woman's current condition -- she is dying or seriously injured or somehow in really bad shape. The other person is trying to keep her awake, or asking her to take her meds or just "stay with me!" or something of the sort. The second one is about the caves of lascaux. The woman, in her feverish delirium or as her last words on her deathbed, or whatever, is talking about what I mentioned in the title. This is how I think the conversation was structured. Please ignore the actual words (except for the bit about the caves of lascaux - I'm sure about that bit): "Stay with me, ! We'll get you fixed up right away." "Did I ever tell you about the caves of lascaux?" "Hey focus, come on drink water you'll feel better" "They were warring tribes that were going through a famine. But some of them still made art." "?? Wtf are you saying, pls don't die" "And you know what, the ones that made the art...they survived."

Not face/off, too old, the tv series is around 2010's, maybe british. not altered carbon, too new unpopular, didn't recognize the actors. the characters are unhinged, the detective was normal at first but started goin a bit crazy after wearing the face

I just finished the series multiple times and I really think it was one of ABC’s most interesting shows. The second season was definitely a misfire, not bad but bit all over the place but I really felt like it picked right back up for season 3 and 4. I remember the first season having some buzz around it but I never heard much more about it after that. I thought that Madeline Stowe and Emily Vancamp had a good dynamic between the two of them. I would love to hear any thoughts anyone has on the show!
